The trial of a site manager charged with manslaughter after the death of a dumper truck driver will start in September.
Alexander Hayden, 28, was working at City Park Trading Estate in Fenton when the vehicle he was operating overturned and buried him under the earth he was moving.
His death was investigated in a joint operation between Staffordshire Police and the Health & Safety Executive.
Site manager Paul Nolan, 42, from Denton in Manchester has been charged with Mr Hayden's manslaughter and breaching the Health and Safety at Work Act. He has pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Mr Nolan's employer, A&A Building Services has pleaded guilty to failing to ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees at work.
A&A director Darren Atkins has pleaded not guilty to the same health and safety charge.
